Working in traditional silversmithing techniques, I am a self-taught jeweller based in Leeds, handcrafting each and every piece in my city-centre studio. Having grown my jewellery practice throughout my degree in Classics, I find inspiration in my love of the ancient world, background in fine art and sculpture, and South East Asian heritage.

Dreamt, designed, and crafted by hand, in-house.

From ancient civilisations to the present day, jewellery has been used as a show of love, power, self expression and self-love. I want to make jewellery that lets you do just this. I want to marry the classical with the contemporary and bring the ancient into the everyday.

Making the classical contemporary through slow, ethical adornment.

Sourced Ethically

Made Consciously

Founded on the belief that quality design and quality adornment need not cost the earth, Studio Sōl Jewellery aims to change the face of the jewellery industry by rooting the environment in everything it does.

What’s in a name?

Inspired by the ancient world and studies in Classics, Studio Sōl Jewellery’s name reflects its roots in the Latin translation of ‘sun’. Aiming to make the Classical contemporary and bring the ancient into the every day, ‘sol’ is an instantly recognisable, and accessible, link to its Latin origins, evoking the sun-soaked shores of the Mediterranean - the heart of the classical world.

Sōl, spelt with a macron (accent) above the ‘ō’, is the phonetic spelling of ‘soul’. Jewellery is unique, powerful and deeply personal, connecting every piece to every person who wears it. At Studio Sōl Jewellery, all pieces are handcrafted in my Leeds-based jewellery studio with purpose and meaning - handcrafted with sōl.
